About State Rep. Poncho Nevárez
Raised in Eagle Pass by his father along with his two sisters, Poncho was the first in his family to graduate from college, having graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in Government in 1994. He then attended St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio where he graduated in 1999. He is a currently practicing attorney who attends Our Lady of Refuge Church in Eagle Pass with his wife of 11 years and his three children.
